How to: Change color for window border and selected item.
Solution:
Change the colors in Windows Control Panel.
1) Click 'Start' todisplay the Windows 'Start' menu.

2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'.

3) Open 'Display'.
4) Click the 'Appearance' tab
5) Do one of the following to select the item to be changed:
a) Click on the section to be changed of the window to be changed. (The item description appears in the 'Item' box.)
' Display Properties' dialog box
b) Select the item to be changed from the 'Item' drop-down list box.
6) Click 'Color'. (A box containing available colors appears.)
NOTE: A color option is available only if the desktop item selected has color changing options.
7) (Optional) Choose a custom color.
a) Click 'Other...' to display a custom color palette.
b) Do one of the following:
1] Select the desired color from the color palette.
2] Drag the marker to the desired color and value.

c) Click 'OK'.
8) (Optional) To change the colors of the item in a list box or a drop-down menu, menu item, or item in a text box, select 'Selected Items' from the 'Items' drop-down list box.
NOTE: This option does not work for selected text in a text box in Excel.
9) Click 'Apply' to activate the new setting.
10) Click 'OK'
